The core curriculum of LTWI is based on a body of knowledge called the Enneagram. Like
most paradigms of psychology, the Enneagram has a long tradition
in philosophy and spirituality.
Hence, the wisdom of the Enneagram can be
considered a sacred psychology. The word
Enneagram comes from the Greek "ennea"
which translates to "nine" and "grammos" meaning
"diagram" or "figure." Hence, Enneagram translates into
"nine figures" or points of the
personality.
Enneagram theory
postulates that once a person learns his or her personality style
of relating,
only then can he or she effectively break maladaptive patterns of behavior and
become receptive to the transformation which leads to a higher stateof being and relating
with
others.
